Privacy Policy
This policy explains how BrassFlow handles personal data during the MVP and which controls you have over it.
Controller and contact
BrassFlow is responsible for decisions about data processing in this MVP. For privacy, access, correction, or deletion requests, contact brassflow@brassflow.app.
Microphone and audio
BrassFlow uses your microphone to analyze tuning during practice. Sound is read on your device, and we do not need to upload recordings to process tuning.
Account and practice data
To operate the app and save progress, we process your email, user identifier, musical preferences, instrument, daily plan, completed sessions, scores, XP, badges, streaks, and practice history.
Purposes and legal bases
We use this data to authenticate your account, deliver practice, personalize preferences, measure progress, maintain security, answer support requests, and improve the product. The bases generally include providing the requested service, consent where applicable, and legitimate interest for security and MVP improvement.
Analytics and cookies
Analytics events are activated only after you choose them in the banner. If accepted, we may record visited pages, clicks, and usage events, including events linked to a signed-in user, to understand problems and prioritize improvements. You can change this choice in your profile.
Feedback and contact
When you send feedback, we save the message, feedback type, source page, basic technical data, and optional contact details. Please do not submit sensitive information or third-party data in free-text fields.
Notifications
Study reminders use browser permission and data such as push endpoint, time, time zone, user agent, and delivery history. Activation is optional and can be disabled in your profile or browser settings.
Providers and transfers
We use infrastructure, authentication, database, notification, and analytics providers such as Supabase and PostHog. These providers may process data outside Brazil as needed to operate the product.
Retention and deletion
We keep data while your account exists or while it is needed for security, support, technical auditing, and legal obligations. Account deletion removes primary profile and practice data; backups and technical logs may remain for a limited period.
Your rights
You may request confirmation of processing, access, correction, portability where applicable, information about sharing, withdrawal of consent, objection, and deletion in accordance with applicable data protection law.
Children and teenagers
The MVP is not directed at children. If a minor uses BrassFlow, a responsible adult should supervise use and contact us about any data request.
